Deep in the archives of an unnamed British TV network lie the decaying tapes of one of the most innovative shows ever broadcast.

The Professor featured the adventures of a time-travelling Oxford don, his feisty companions, and the dastardly villains they battled to save the universe. For undisclosed legal reasons involving copyright issues, The Professor was sadly yanked off the air in the early 1980s. But ImproMafia has tracked down those lost tapes, and will proudly host a screening on Sunday 22 August.

Agatha Holmes

You are invited to an evening of dinner, bridge... and murder!

After solving his first mystery in 2009, Impromafia’s intrepid sleuth Agatha Holmes returns to the Brisbane Arts Theatre to once again sort the clues from the red herrings. The third-act twist: he’ll this time be served up not one but six courses of cunningly constructed crimes as he appears in his own two week season, running 1-10 July 2010!

At Cadsworth Manor, house guests are dropping like flies. But how will each victim die? What clues point to the solution? And most importantly... whodunnit? A secret audience ballot will decide all three, leaving you free to have fun trying to guess the murderer’s identity. With some of Brisbane’s finest improvisers on the case, each night of this off-the-cuff murder mystery will have a completely original story. Watch one show or watch all six - it will never be the same!

Will you be able to work it out before Agatha Holmes does?

Thurs, Fri & Sat nights from 1-10 July

In a not too distant future the government and the corporations dictate the safest way to live. But will a world of consumerism and consumption leave you hollow and hungry.
Freedom from choice, is no freedom at all. Graffiti echoes the whispers of dissent.

"Escape this Untopia".

Impromafia presents a skewed viewpoint on a dystopian future. When the government provides order and control, Brisbane’s best improvisers promise to bring chaos, laughs and a warning of what is to come.

Life is no song and dance when you live in the worst side of town.

But in May, that all changes. ImproMafia’s newest is a rousing musical about two opposing gangs on the wrong side of the tracks, and a chance romance that may bring them together, or destroy them both. In 2009, Brisbane theatre-goers fell in love with Prognosis: Death! - an entirely off-the-cuff medical-comedy-sci-fi melodrama at the Brisbane Arts Theatre. Now the staff of St Love Hospital are back in
Prognosis: Death! Pandemic, playing at the BAT from
21-30 January 2010.
Only the audience knows!

Impro Unwrapped

ImproMafia has teamed up with the Vinnies to present a charity show "Impro Unwrapped" on Sunday 13 December. We ask that people coming along to the show bring something to donate to the Vinnies.

It can be non-perishable food items from your pantry, or stuffed animals your children no longer use, small items of furniture you no longer need, or perhaps buy a new toy!

Bring it with you on the night, and we will create humour and Christmas cheer using your donations as inspiration. All goods will be taken from the theatre after the show and given to the Vinnies.

This show is part of a national event - impro companies in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra will also be doing this format in December! Come celebrate the spirit of giving with ImproMafia and the Brisbane Arts Theatre.
