Advanced Improv Workshop: Physicality and Spacework

  • Woolloongabba Substation 45 Logan Road Woolloongabba, QLD, 4102 Australia (map)

The best improvisers are wonderfully physical - they use their physicality to create characters, build worlds and to inspire their scene partners. Physicality on stage is about more than just leaping about wildly or coming on with an amusing character trait. It is about learning to trust your body and acting from a place of instinct and connection rather than relying on quick wits and cleverness.

This class will:

  • Explore spacework and mime in a comfortable and safe environment.

  • Teach you how to use your body to organically build characters and stories.

  • Show you how to use space work as a source of inspiration and connection in your scenes.

  • Teach you how to build interesting worlds onstage through spacework, creating scenes which are both funny and grounded.

This will not be a physically tiring class and all levels and physical abilities will be supported.

It is  pre-requisite that you have completed a beginner's improvisation course and two of our intermediate courses before enrollying in this course. Contact us if you have any questions.

This course will be taught by Wade Robinson who is one of Brisbane's most skilled and experienced teachers of improvisation.
