March Drop-In Class: What A Character!

  • Ithaca Hall 95-99 Enoggera Terrace Red Hill, QLD, 4059 Australia (map)

Teacher of the Month: Siobhan Finniss

Topic of the Month: What A Character!

Developing a character does not have to be hard work! In this class we learn how to use our body and our voice to create characters instantly and effortlessly. These techniques are especially useful for perfomers who want to breakaway from playing versions of themself in their scenes, or would like to expand their range beyond a handful of characters.

It's all about exploring what our body and voice are capable of and meeting the characters who emerge in the process. And the kicker is, learning how to inhabit a character makes scene work a thousand times easier.

In this workshop you will:

>Learn how to quickly warm up your voice and body

> Play some fun and joyful games

>Explore different ways of using your body and voice

>Have an opportunity to try out some new characters in your scenework

Note: Drop-in classes are available to improvisers who have completed a Beginner Improv Course. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in contact.
